Swimming to the UK!

Nikola has successfully swum her way to the next level! She is no longer a Starfish, she's a Duck! She has demonstrated that she can swim by herself, with the only help of a flotation tube.


She was so happy that she called all her friends right away.


Today, we are preparing for the Big Trip, to the outdoor swimming pool of... Buckland House (Devon)!

Mes parents à Montréal (suite et fin)

Ils sont repartis lundi 2 mais c'est seulement ce soir que j'ai eu le temps de mettre les dernières photos dans Picasa. Si elle avait bien préparé leur arrivée en décidant finalement de faire pipi à la toilette, et en leur disant plein de mercis pour leurs cadeaux, mais Nikola a fait la tête au moment de leur départ. Le lendemain, elle a exprimé son regret qu'ils soient partis, mais c'était un peu triste quand même. Globalement, ce ne fut pas facile pour eux trois de communiquer, Nikola ne parlant presque qu'anglais, langue parlée à la garderie, sa mère et la plupart de nos amis (mais comprennant tout de même très bien le français). Elle parle d'ailleurs bien plus en français ... depuis leur départ ! On continuera les conversations par Skype !
Julien, lui, a continué à sourire pendant leur séjour, et a commencé à se tenir assis -presque- bien.

Are our children wild?

Julien gets as wild as... he can in this video. He watches a toy for a while, and suddenly decides to make his move. He is done with it in a fraction of millisecond, unable to resist being charming for longer than that.

The other charming one (Nikola) is now so good at going to the bathroom to pee that she gets up hours after going to bed. I am not sure if we should be happy about that since she thinks it allows her to wander around for some more time after her official bed time.
Talking about that and "the wild": the other day at the jardin botanique, she refused to pee behind a bush because "it's not a toilet".
