Mes parents à Montréal

Après quelques jours de pluie au début, le temps a été relativement clément. Y compris pour leur voyage aux chutes du Niagara (en passant par Toronto). Mon père est devenu en quelques jours un expert en calcul de pourboire de 15%, et ma mère une experte pour occuper Julien-qui-ne-dort-jamais.

Nikola swims!!

Nikola is taking swimming lessons - a big deal because she is afraid of most things at first, and definitely afraid of water. She begins each lesson afraid to get into the pool, at some point insists that she wants to go home, and spends a good deal of time with her arms around my neck and legs around my waist. But she is making amazing progress - yesterday, she went through all the steps described above and ended up jumping into the pool, swimming around supported only by a big foam noodle, and laughing whenever she got water in the face. If you could have seen her at her first lesson, you would be amazed to see her now! Last summer, Nikola, Noah and Meva went to a water park with fountains, and Nikola would barely accept getting her feet wet. I suspect that in August, when Noah returns, we can all go have a proper thoroughly soaked afternoon, with no tears on her part and no bribes on mine!!!
